| Dr. Shobha Iyer has PhD from the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, India. She joined MRC-KHS in 2017 as Senior Research Fellow for a CSIR project,entitled “Development of a phytopharmaceutical antidiabetic agent (complementary) from the lead of DM FN 02 (Enicostemma littorale Blume) of CSIR NMITLI programme”. She was involved in the standardization of plasma levels of one of the bioactive compounds, Swertiamarin using High Performance Liquid Chromatography. Later, she was appointed as Research Associate for a project funded by the Bombay Gowrakshak Trust entitled “Health Implications of milk containing A1 β-casein” in 2019. Dr. Shobha Iyer has published 12 papers in International Journals, 3 book chapters and 2 books and has presented papers in national and international conferences. Dr. Shobha Iyer has special interest in music and has won many awards in several forums. She was an active member of ‘Global Sai Symphony’, an international music concert, consisting of renowned musicians across the globe. |
