| Dr. Dave did his MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Seth G S Medical College- Mumbai. He has done advanced training in Fertility Management- Johns Hopkin’s Hospital- USA, as well as a Fellowship at Pittsburgh Unit- USA. He was also a Ford Foundation Fellow for advanced training in Culdoscopy at Kingston- Jamaica. Dr. Dave was Consulting Gynecologist and Head of Dept. Ob & Gyn at BSES MG Hospital Andheri and Hon. Gynecologist at Municipal General Hospitals at Malad & Santa Cruz for about 25 years. During this period he had occasion to train a large number of residents, students of Ob. Gyn. and also Homeopathy College students posted at the hospital for undergraduate clinical training. Dr. Dave is a past president of Mumbai Ob. Gyn. Society and also Vice President of Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Societies of India. One of the activities of this Federation was an education programme viz., Quiz for post graduate students. Dr. Dave was involved in formulating & implementing of this academic activity. He was Chairman & Quiz Master for 5 Years. Currently, he is Medical Director- MRC-KHS and the Vice Chairman of Inter System Biomedica Ethics Committee (ISBEC) which is involved in scanning, studying & opining on Ethical aspects of various proposals for research in any system of medicine. He has keen interest in Ethical aspects not only of research but also in clinical practice, medical writing etc. & has been actively participating in Seminars organized by different groups on the subjects. Dr. Dave has been a very senior Rotarian and has carried out significant rural social services over decades. |
