Hiteshi Dhami-Shah has obtained her BSc (Dietetics) from SVT College and her MSc (Clinical Nutrition-Health Sciences) from Pune University. She is currently pursuing her PhD at SNDT University for Investigating ’metabolic toxicity in hepatic steatosis cell model in presence and absence of phytoactives' under the mentorship of Dr. Ashok Vaidya and Dr Shobha Udipi. She has been awarded the Women Scientist Award from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, for her PhD project. Hiteshi has also received advanced training in molecular hepatology at the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation. In July, 2016, she was awarded the First prize for her poster presentation at an International conference on Obesity and Chronic Disease (ICOCD) held at LV, USA. She is also a practicing consultant at MRC-KHS and Vasudha Clinic. In addition, Hiteshi is a popular health and nutrition writer, having contributed many articles in newspapers and magazines. She has 7 publications in Medical Journals, 3 Book chapters and has been an assistant editor in the Journal of Obesity and Medical Research
