| Mrs. Shubhada Agashe, had her BSc Degree in Chemistry. Later she had a post graduate diploma in Medical Laboratory Techniques from Somaiya College. In addition, she obtained a certificate in a training course on Radioimmunoassay Techniques and their Clinical Application at BARC. She is currently working as an Assistant Director, Clinical and Metabolic Laboratory at MRC-KHS. Her expertise in handling radio-immuno assay (RIA), enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), colorimetry, microscopy and HPTLC has been a backbone of research projects at MRC-KHS. She was actively involved in the pharmacokinetics of Genistein. For the first time in India she set up the assays for leptin, adiponectin and uncarboxylated osteocalcin. The work on thyroxine in relation to neuroplasticity in the rat hippocampus has been a significant contribution. She has eight research papers to her credit. |
