Dr Prajakta Paradkar has done her master’s in Biotechnology and her Doctorate in Biochemistry. Her PhD work was on ‘Anticancer activity of Curcuma longa and Tinospora cordifolia active components in cervical cancer.’ Currently, she is engaged in a project on nanoformulation for immunomodulation in tumor microenvironments. She is working on the development of a 3D model for in vitro study of the tumor microenvironment.
Earlier she worked as a Senior Research Fellow on the Anticancer activity of Haridra (DBT) and Panchavalkal formulation for leucorrhea (CCRAS). Previously, as a Research Associate, she had worked on the assessment of different biological fluids as a non-violent alternative for foetal bovine serum (BGRT). She has been engaged in developing an ex vivo model of macrophage activation in obese patients. Her expertise in cell biology involves molecular markers, cell lines preservation, and media supplements. Her focus is in the fields of chronic inflammation/cancer vis-à-vis interventions with phytoactives. She has 15 publications and presented several posters and oral presentations with recognition by awards.Mrs. Prajakta Paradkar, after her Masters in Biotechnology is now engaged for a PhD on ‘Anticancer activity of Curcuma longa and Tinospora cordifolia active components in cervical cancer.’
